Anthony L. Bass
The Anthony L. Bass Stomach Cancer Foundation emerged from the depths of personal tragedy and resilience, sparked by the unwavering love and courage of Anissa Marie Bass. Founded in honor of her late husband, Anthony Bass, who valiantly battled stage 4 stomach cancer, the foundation stands as a beacon of hope, determination, and advocacy in the fight against this devastating disease.
Anissa's journey began with the heart-wrenching loss of Anthony, a beloved husband, father, and mentor, on August 10th. His battle was marked by extraordinary strength, enduring over 30 blood transfusions, multiple rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, and even an attempted total gastrectomy. Despite the relentless onslaught of symptoms and treatments, Anthony's spirit remained unbroken, inspiring his family to share his story with the world.
Anthony's diagnosis came as a shock, preceded by misdiagnoses and delayed medical intervention. This painful reality ignited Anissa's determination to prevent others from enduring similar struggles. As a seasoned licensed practical nurse with 26 years of experience, Anissa understands the critical importance of early detection, education, and support in combating stomach cancer.
Driven by Anthony's memory and her own professional expertise, Anissa embarked on a mission to raise awareness, advocate for a cure, and provide holistic support to stomach cancer patients and their families. With a firm belief in the power of collaboration, she forged partnerships with esteemed organizations like Debbie's Dream Foundation and No Stomach For Cancer (NSFC), amplifying her impact and reach.
Anissa's relentless advocacy and compassionate care have touched countless lives, transforming her personal tragedy into a catalyst for change. Through the Anthony L.
